About IT
Information Technology (IT) at Yale, comprised of a central unit and distributed campus IT support organizations, provides computing and communications infrastructure, services, support, and innovation for university programs. We offer one-on-one assistance and collaborate with departments and organizations to provide a wide range of services to the Yale community.
Together, we work toward three Organizational Priorities:

IT works with the community to make decisions, and ensures that diverse constituent areas are represented in its technology footprint through partnerships with:
IT provides tools and resources to strengthen Yale’s technical work culture and climate.
IT maintains, and continually optimizes, a series standards and policies that inform technology usage, strategy, and decision making at Yale University.
IT is actively supporting Yale initiatives across academic, administrative, foundational, research, clinical, and cultural heritage areas.
IT at Yale is led by Vice President for Information Technology and CIO John Barden and his Senior Leadership Team, in collaboration with their Governance Committees.
