IT Executive Committee

The IT Executive Committee functions as a special meeting of the Provost’s University Budget advisory committee.  

Academic IT

  • Chair: Lloyd Suttle, Deputy Provost for Academic Resources
  • Primary Beneficiaries: Faculty and Students
  • Support Staff: Frank Mathew, Associate CIO for Enterprise Applications

The Academic IT Steering Committee provides oversight and guidance for investments and management of the systems and services that support the educational and academic mission of the University including admissions, athletics, student life, advising, teaching and learning, and systems that manage or interact with student records.  

  • Recommend and prioritize investments and projects
  • Sponsor and represent major initiatives and projects within this space
  • Provide guidance and prioritization for IT support and maintenance activities
  • Members will help influence and vet decisions across all program stakeholders

Research IT

  • Chair: Michael Crair, Vice Provost for Research
  • Primary Beneficiaries: Faculty and Students
  • Support Staff: Kiran Keshev, Senior Director, Research Technologies

The Research IT Steering Committee  provides oversight and guidance for investments and management of systems and services that support  research mission of the University including high performance computing, infrastructure, storage development platforms and analytics.

  • Recommend and prioritize investments and projects
  • Sponsor and represent major investments and projects within this space
  • Provide guidance and prioritization for IT support and maintenance activities
  • Members will help influence and vet decisions across all program stakeholders

Clinical IT

  • Chair: Frederick Borelli, Chief Administrative Officer, Medical School
  • Primary Beneficiaries: Clinicians and Patients
  • Support Staff: Ted Hanss, Associate CIO, Medicine

The Clinical IT Steering Committee  provides oversight and guidance for investments and management of systems and services that support  the clinical mission of the University including clinical education, patient experience support, infrastructure, storage and development platforms.

  • Recommend and prioritize investments and projects
  • Sponsor and represent major investments and projects within this space
  • Provide guidance and prioritization for IT support and maintenance activities
  • Members will help influence and vet decisions across all program stakeholders

Cultural Heritage

  • Chair: Susan Gibbons, Vice Provost for Collections and Scholarly Communications
  • Primary Beneficiaries: Museum and Library Patrons and Scholars
  • Support Staff: Frank Mathew, Associate CIO for Enterprise Applications

The Cultural Heritage IT Steering Committee  provides oversight and guidance for investments and management of systems and services that support  the Cultural Heritage mission of the University including collection, curation, dissemination and preservation of Yale’s cultural heritage assets including the support, infrastructure, storage and development platforms.

  • Sponsor and represent major investments and projects within this space
  • Provide guidance and prioritization for IT support and maintenance activities
  • Members will help influence and vet decisions across all program stakeholders

Administrative IT Committee

  • Chair: Steve Murphy, Chief Financial Officer
  • Primary Beneficiaries: Employees, Research Faculty, Alumni
  • Staff: Frank Mathew, Associate CIO for Enterprise Applications

The Administrative IT Steering Committee provides oversight and guidance for investments and management of systems and services that support the business and administrative functions of the university, including finance, human resources, advancement and research compliance.

  • Recommend and prioritize investments and projects
  • Sponsor and represent major investments and projects within this space
  • Provide guidance and prioritization for IT support and maintenance activities
  • Members will help influence and vet decisions across all program stakeholders

Foundational IT Committee

The Foundational IT Steering Committee  provides oversight and guidance for investments and management of systems and services that support the entire University including telephony, infrastructure, storage, web platforms, help and support, identity services, integration, information security, and data reporting and analytics.

  • Provide guidance and prioritization for IT support and maintenance activities
