The Service & Portfolio Management Office (SPMO) is responsible for the Service Management and Portfolio Management practices within IT and ensures that the IT Service Portfolio is in alignment with the strategic objectives of the University. The role of the SPMO is to provide Service Owners and Portfolio Managers with the tools, processes and support they need to design, build, operate and continuously improve the portfolio of services offered by IT at Yale. The goal is to provide consistency in how we design, operate and support IT Services and to foster a positive customer experience.
It is important to effectively manage the entire lifecycle of each IT service from request to retirement.
