ITS is working on a variety of projects to improve Yale’s technical work culture and climate. In May 2018 we launched a Climate, Culture, and Inclusion Task Force to bring people together to help collectively improve the work environment for our staff, and to more closely reflect the diversity of the community we serve. In June 2018 we announced our strategic priorities and our values, and in the FY18 staff performance review cycle we introduced new competencies.
ITS is committed to supporting the mission of Yale through the development of students in the local community, as well as our full time staff.

The IT Competencies are an integral part of the annual performance review process.
Developed to help drive consistency in our practice and foster positive behaviors across the organization, these competencies define the manner by which each staff member’s performance is measured, with a focus on not only “what,” but “how” the work gets done across IT functions.
