Direct access to Yale-New Haven Hospital (Y-NHH) systems is restricted to computers connected to the Y-NHH network.
Each application requires a unique ID and password.Please contact the Y-NHH Help Desk (203-688-4357) for information on how to access the application you may need.
Y-NHH VPN Client
Yale ITS will need to install and configure Cisco AnyConnect, if not already installed.
Obtaining authorization to use the Y-NHH VPN
VPN access will only be granted to individuals with health system provided devices.
VPN access will not be granted for personally owned devices.
Non-Exempt Employees: An e-mail authorization from HR must be included with the manager’s request to the Service Desk.
Your manager must submit an email request to the Y-NHH Service Desk with the following required information:
Subject: YNHHS Employee VPN Request
User's name: User's Department: Employee number: User's AD/network id: Exempt employee? Y or N* Computer Hostname: Business need for VPN access (list specific applications that are not available through the Business Portal)
Yale University employees
In order to be granted access and/or quarterly renewal to Y-NHH VPN, you must have attested yes to using electronic devices with ePHI and the device that is used to access Y-NHH VPN must be encrypted.
