Center for Teaching and Learning

The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) supports many of the technologies used by Yale instructors and students in their coursework, both on-campus and online. CTL offers individualized consultations, assistance with interactive learning tools, web sites and course media, and central support for the campus learning management systems.

Canvas

Canvas, an online learning environment that's been highly successful in supporting Yale's distance and hybrid curricula, could also offer on-campus faculty and students a strong alternative to Classes*v2.

Classes*v2

Classes*v2 provides the Yale community with a powerful, integrated set of web-based tools for teaching, learning, and sharing information.

Classroom Response

Clickers, more formally known as personal response systems, are wireless handheld keypads that enable participants in an audience to answer multiple choice questions posed by a presenter allowing real-time results on a projected screen.

CoursePress

The Yale CoursePress is an online blogging and web publishing for courses built on WordPress.

Instructional Design & Educational Technology Consultation

Assistance with a web based learning objective for teaching and learning.

Lecture Capture

Yale's lecture capture offering, Echo360, provides a method of recording and archiving lecture, conference, or seminar content.
