Master CATV

Yale University subscribes to cable television services provided by Comcast for its educational and entertainment value.  A basic set of broadcast, cable, and Yale-originated channels is included for those living in Master suites. The basic Yale Master CATV service consists of approximately 70 channels, six of them reserved for Yale academic programming and is not available for students.  Students are advised to use the IPTV service on campus.

See the Yale Cable Channel Guide for a list of current available channels.  Cable-ready televisions can be plugged into the CATV jack directly.  No converter box is required.

Who can use it?

Cable television is provided to all resident Master suites on-campus.

Residences served include:

  • Residential colleges and official annexes
  • Swing dorm
  • Hall of Graduate Studies
  • Helen Hadley Hall
  • 254 Prospect Street
  • 276 Prospect Street
  • ES Harkness Hall

How much does it cost?

This base level of service is included in the technology fee for all residents on campus.  Additional services may be purchased directly from the vendor and will be paid for by the individual that requested the additional service.

Poor quality picture or no reception

    Please indicate to the repair dispatcher the last time you had satisfactory service.

Not receiving the entire Yale CATV program line-up
