Faculty & Staff Desktop Support

Distributed Support Providers are contracted to provide all aspects of computer support at the desk-side.

Features

Distributed Support Providers (DSPs) are embedded within your department/s and provide the following services:

  • Software repair
  • Hardware repair – Lenovo, Dell, and Apple certified warranty service provider
  • Virus and malware remediation and removal
  • Operating system reload
  • Support of Yale Standard Managed Workstations
  • Software and peripheral installation
  • Assistance with online hardware ordering
  • Assistance with NetID activations and password changes
  • Tablet and other mobile device support
  • Assistance and consultation in navigating other ITS services

Who can use it?

Faculty and staff who work for departments with an ITS DSP contract.

Contact the Help Desk at 203-432-9000 to request a consultation.  The Help Desk can tell you if you are already supported under a DSP contract and can connect you with the Desktop Support service owner to discuss options.
