Yale Share (MS SharePoint)

ITS YaleShare is a web-based collaborative work space for departments and teams to share information. It uses Microsoft Office SharePoint Server, which will run on most web browsers and on Macs. Typical users share and collaborate on documents, use calendars and discussion boards, share announcements and links, manage meeting agendas and task lists.  SharePoint integrates well with Microsoft Office.

Who can use it?

Faculty and staff actively working at Yale University with valid Yale NetIDs are eligible.

VPN is required when connecting from off campus.

How do I get it?

To provision a new site:

Request for additional storage:

  • Contact collaborate@yale.edu
    Provide us with your site link/name and we will allocate an additional 10 GB of storage space. Your PTAEO will be charged an additional hosting fee.

Request for site cancelations:

  • Contact collaborate@yale.edu

    Archive: this option will save the data and the site will be saved in a “read-only” state, there will be a yearly hosting fee associated with archived read only sites with a 2GB storage quota.

    Delete: All data will be purged and unrecoverable. It is recommended that any data that may be needed in the future is backed up locally and saved to a secured shared drive or optical media.
