Yale MeetingPlace Teleconferencing

Yale MeetingPlace is an on-demand, reservationless audio conference service that is available all hours, seven days a week. Access for both the host and participants is available via a local Yale number, as well as a domestic toll-free number.

How much does it cost?

The cost for using this service is included in the Telecommunications Infrastructure Bundle.

How do I get it?

Please click on the "Request This Service" button on the right hand side of this page and fill out the ServiceNow form to request a new account.  Requests are usually completed within 5-10 business days.

You will receive an email the ITS Unified Communications Team with instructions on how to use your number, to host a meeting, and invite others. Attendees do not need to register. Once you have a profile number, you will not need to contact ITS to host future meetings.

  3. When prompted, enter your profile number (MeetingID) and #
  4. When prompted, enter your PIN and #

Participant instructions (provide to participants)

  2. Enter Meeting ID (MeetingID) and #
  3. Speak your name, then enter #

How do I find my MeetingID?

The MeetingID is provided in the instructions received in the request fulfillment email notification. If you need to obtain your MeetingID, contact your local support provider or the ITS Help Desk.

I forgot my MeetingPlace PIN. What should I do?

This is common and can easily be remedied. Contact your local support provider or the ITS Help Desk.

Can Yale MeetingPlace be used for Toll Free International Audio Conferencing?

No. However, callers from international locations can follow the participant instructions to dial the US Domestic phone number. The International Caller should be advised that their billing rates are determined by their phone service provider.

Does this service require special hardware?

No. Attending or hosting a Yale MeetingPlace conference is accomplished by placing a phone call. Attendees and hosts of the meetings can use a desk phone, cell phone, or computer that can place phone calls.
