Qualtrics Survey Tool

Yale has an institutional license for a web-based survey tool (from Qualtrics). It is a comprehensive web-based survey service that is flexible and easy to navigate and is available for immediate use.

Features

  • Control text, questions, messages, choices, reports, graphs, images, colors, exports, code, emails, fonts, themes, sharing, panels, logics and blocks.
  • Use integrated communication tools to send surveys and reminders.
  • Collaborate in real-time and grant other Yale affiliates access to surveys and reports.
  • Translate surveys into 48 languages and then automatically deliver the questions in the recipients native tongue.
  • Use with EPI and EPHI records (approved and certified for use on September 13, 2011).
  • Integrate with SalesForce.
  • Use the development API for integration with other applications.
  • Take advantage of the iOS application for offline survey responses.

Who can use it?

Anyone in the Yale community with an active and valid NetID.

How much does it cost?

This service is available at no charge to the Yale community.

If an individual or department would like additional features that are not part of the University enterprise offering, they are able to purchase those modules on their own and get invoiced for them directly. Contact ITS for assistance with getting an estimate.

How do I get it?

  1. Get started by going to YaleSurvey.qualtrics.com. Other Yale schools have different Qualtrics websites:
  1. Log into the CAS window that opens, using your Yale NetID and password.
  2. Complete the short form with your preferences for first and last name.
  3. Start building, customizing and sharing your surveys!

Where can I get help?

Contact your local IT support provider or the ITS Help Desk, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at 203-432-9000.

For technical questions about survey creation or application integration, Qualtrics provides extensive self-help including a multi-media library with support documentation and video tutorials. Access the support materials while logged in by simply clicking on the "“Get Help" or "“Ask a Question" link on your screen. Additionally, you can call Qualtrics support at 801-374-6682. 801
