Hobbies and interests outside work

I love growing things--I am better at outdoor plants than indoor plants! I am deeply committed to food justice and sustainable food production and for the past several years, I have been working for my local CSA (community supported agriculture) creating their e-newsletter and helping with their drupal web presence (http://farmproject.org).   I am an outdoorsy person during warmer months and love to go hiking, or just be out in my back yard--gardening, mowing, or just hanging out.  My husband and I love to cook and particularly, I am crazy for all kinds of ethnic and spicy food.  My daughter is a sophmore at Vassar College and my son is 10 years old and in 5th grade.

Probably my greatest love, though is reading.  I love all kinds of books and am remarkably un-critical about what I read. I love biographies, contemporary fiction, sci fi, and really enjoy youth fiction too!
