SaaS and PaaS

To ensure that the needs of the community are accurately represented, ITS is seeking feedback on the working groups identified goals, objectives, and strategies. These recommendations were developed by the working group and informed by the needs of the Yale community.  Please use the comment section on this page to share your thoughts or ideas with the working group.

Working Group Description

The SaaS/PaaS Strategic Plan Working Group will focus its efforts on the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) landscape. The group will work collaboratively to assess the current state of SaaS/PaaS usage and adoption at Yale vs. peer institutions and identify key factors for delivery and ongoing management of and satisfaction with SaaS/PaaS solutions at Yale. The group will formulate key strategic goals, objectives, and action items to position SaaS/PaaS solutions at Yale as exemplary with regard to community satisfaction, technology leadership, rock solid services, organizational readiness, fiscal management, and global recognition.

Develop a vision and service delivery roadmap that positions Yale to leverage Software-as-a-Service(SaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions to advance the University mission and functions and realize total cost of ownership savings and improved timelines for technology solution implementation.
