Video Conferencing

What is it?

ITS Campus Technology Services (CTS) has a variety of videoconferencing systems and facilities equipped to meet the varied needs of the Yale community.

The cost of a videoconference is inexpensive when compared to the cost of a business trip. The benefits of video conferencing are not limited to typical business applications. Yale students are able to arrange interviews by prospective employers without having to leave the campus. Video conferencing can be used to offer classroom instruction, on the job training, continuing education, and special lectures and seminars. Distance learning is also impacting traditional public education systems by linking together elementary and secondary schools and connecting them to valuable university resources.

Services are available Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Special arrangements can be made for conferences that need to take place at other times. The Campus Techology Services department will assist you in all aspects of the video conference including locating and reserving a public videoconferencing room for the other participants.
