Recently, Yale faculty and staff received an email from CIO Len Peters inviting them to participate in the first campus-wide Yale Technology Survey, designed in collaboration with leaders from the professional schools and University Library to assess technology needs of the campus.
Because of recent weather-related campus closures, the Yale Technology Survey has been extended through Friday, March 1.
To take the survey, participants must use on a personalized Web link delivered via email. This ensures each participant will see a version of the survey tailored to a specific role, department, or school. Individual responses will be kept confidential and will be combined with others for analysis. (If you have not received an email with your link, please contact ITS.)
The technology survey collects information in five categories of services:
The current survey solicits the opinions of faculty and staff only; ITS will survey students later in the academic year. As an incentive, those who complete the survey are eligible to win an iPad mini. (Please note that IT Professionals are not eligible for the drawing.)
After the survey closes, ITS will aggregate and analyze the results, and report back to the campus what we have learned and how we will be using the information.
If you have not yet taken the Yale Technology Survey, please take 15 minutes to complete it before midnight, March 1. If you have questions or comments, contact cioadmin@yale.edu.
