Virtual Private Network (VPN) for iOS (iPad or iPhone) devices
Summary:
Installing, configuring, and using the AnyConnect app on iOS devices (iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch)
iOS 4 or Later
- Install Cisco AnyConnect Client from the iTunes App Store.
- Once installed, launch the AnyConnect app.
- Enable this software by clicking OK.
- Select Add VPN Connection.
- Configure the settings as follows.
In the Description field type Yale VPN.
In the Server Address field type access.yale.edu.
Confirm the Certificate field is set to Automatic.
- Click Save.
The Cisco AnyConnect Client is now configured on your device. The first time you connect to the Yale VPN connection, an additional SSL_VPN connection will automatically be added. Either connection can be used.
Connect to VPN
- Launch the AnyConnect app.
- Select the Yale VPN connection.
- Toggle the AnyConnect VPN switch to ON.
- On the Authentication screen, enter your NetID and password, then click Connect.
- You are now connected to the VPN. To disconnect, toggle the AnyConnect VPN switch to OFF.
